Hello Folks......I'm rebuilding a 1971 350/270HP and need some help identifying the yellow circled part. What is this line called and what is it plugged into at the end of the black hose? I'm having trouble finding a good source of info for vacuum/vapor lines. This was a basket case restoration, so I really couldn't take pics before disassembly.

That's a pretty common spring steel clamp for the fuel line incoming to carburetor..most auto parts stores should have them..just need the OD of the hose when slipped onto the metal fuel line..
Unless you are trying to stay original, a properly sized worm driven steel hose clamp should do just fine..Jim

Thanks Jim for the response, but I the entire line (probably needed to make the yellow circle bigger or egg shaped). I need to find out where to terminate the other end of the rubber hose that's stuck onto the metal line. What is the purpose of this line? Is it a vent; if so, where is it plugged into at the non-viewable end.

Sorry dwa; the gas line is on front of the carb. It's a hard line directly to the fuel pump and runs into the filter located on the carb front. The line I'm talking abut is on the lower backside of the carb.

That line goes to the brake booster.There will be a one way check valve on the end of the rubber line that plugs into a rubber grommet in the booster. It provides the vacuum to operate the booster on power brakes.
