Just received a right and left intermediate carbon steel exhaust pipe set. I cleaned them up and they have part numbers 3863497 and 3863498 on them. They are 2 1/2 inch pipe and are in great shape. One even has the GM part number sticker on it.

Does anyone have a parts manual and can tell me what year Corvette these fit? They didn't look like they would fit my 68 Coupe. Might be a C2 and if so, would probably be quite valuable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I looked in my copy of the Corvette Parts Interchange Manual 1968-1982 by Paul Herd and didn't see those numbers anywhere in Chapter 4 on Exhaust Systems.

Well, that pretty much rules out C3, so I'll have to try and locate a C2 manual.
