The only place where PB Blaster is going to work the very best with optimal results is on the nuts that hold the pipe to the manifold. So with that being said...........
Looking through my extensive collection of new and used parts and checking inventory in my master bedroom, and yes I have parts stacked next to my bed......
I have found: 1 new SS front Y pipe.
1 new standard rear pipe
1 new catalytic converter that bolts up directly to the Y pipes.
You will need to complete the system 2 mufflers, clamps, and a donut.
All for just shipping to my C3VR friends.
Took you long enough to catch the cough.

Wait...what!? You have a new front Y pipe, new rear Y Pipe and a new Cat that will fit my 79 and that you're willing to send to me for just the cost of shipping?
Why do you have these (and not want them) and why are you willing to basically give them away?

I decided to change to a tru-dual system from MAM and these were a set that I had purchased when I started the resto-mod. The car only needs 1 set of pipes not two.
Sometimes good things happen to good people. I will send the entire set for just shipping. No strings no secret handshakes and no kissing.
Just pm your address and I will ship as soon as I can find a box for them. It needs a big box.
Now....I am going to bed see you all tomorrow. DB

As far as I know, the '80 exhaust will fit the '79.

Adam - I went to Mufflex in Trenton. I had a manifold back system done on my 81. Hi-flow 2into1into2 system w/a cat and Magnaflows. The sytem is gorgeous, sounds great and the driver seat dyno feels a huge diff. Its all stainless and a perfect fit. The price was about 100 more then a catalog system after installation and is totally worth it. I worked with Denny who really knows his stuff. See mufflex.com, these guys are the real deal.. Kevin.

OK Adam look in your mailbox on Friday for this large funny looking box with a chimminy on top. It took me a little bit to engineer a suitable enclosure.

'79 and '80-'82 front "Y" pipes are different. Due to the differences in the transmission crossmembers. '79 and earlier had the 2 holes for the exhaust pipes to pass through. '80-82 had just a single hump (no holes) for the pipe to pass by.

But the cat and rear pipe should be the same.
'76-'81 cats are the same. '82 is different.

The Magna Flow mufflers have a nice growl to them and quite a bark when you get on it.
