I also installed the set-up from Corvette Central: 2 1/2 true dual exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers. I also added Patriot tight-tuck headers and it sounds great to me - not too loud when driving but really nice when I step on it. And it looks like stock from behind.

Hey Dan, I'm going to record the audio from your video and use it as my ring tone. Love that thumpity thump thump cam.

I was going to let one of my friends listen to it tonight, but my battery was too low. I was very disappointed.

I need to record it again with the volume cranked up to max.
It's awesome.

I have Flowmasters on my '82...as well as #*@&% canning the converter and making the exhaust a true dual. The tech even welded back in place the O2 sensor port even though I took out the check engine bulb...since the O2 sensor will now read only one bank of cylinders...I simply didn't want the wire to the sensor hanging loose and God forbid, if I ever get rid of the car, it can eventaully be changed back to stock and the wire would still be there. As far a the sound of the Flowmaster, its a 'grunt' sound...deep and NASCAR like...very good sounding when starting up and hangin' at a stop light/sign. At about 45 mph and 1500 rpm, the tone really accentuates the look and sound of the late model C3.
