Vette(s): 1978 Stingray - needs a little TLC, bought for wife's 50th Birthday
Ok I've started poking around more on our 78 in anticipation of doing some upgrades, cleaning ,etc to her and while under the car at the rear end I noticed the passenger side muffler bracket was busted. Now I'm trying to determine what the part is called and where to get a replacement one. Pics show passenger side busted bracket and then lastly the drivers side intact for comparison. We bought the car used and this was how it came to us. Really appreciate the help.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
Obviously Flow Master didn't supply the correct hangers. It all looks aftermarket to me, and incorrectly installed. The correct hangers can be purchased from most of the name brand suppliers who distribute parts catalogs for these cars.

Ya...that's not factory stuff there. Best bet is to check a muffler shop, and have them replace the whole bracket. Or....you could drill the rivets out, and use some rubberized belting to make your own insulators, and then use nuts/bolts to put it all back together.
