Vette(s): 75 coupe being restored. engine rebuilt & complete interior resto with interior color change. more when i get it together. i am not going original as over my head, too expensive and i'd rather drive than tinker. thats to frustrating for me.
I bought a new Holley mechanical fuel pump to try and sort out a problem I'm having! The new pump has an inlet and an outlet but the old pump has two inlets and one outlet. one inlet on the old pump is 1/8" & the other is 3/8". Both lines run parallel from the tank. I believe the larger is the main fuel line and the smaller a return line to the tank. Am I correct in assuming this, and what do I do for the new install with the smaller line? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

I believe you are correct, that is what I have also. The factory pump has a return line for some reason, maybe the older pumps could not be dead headed when the seat shut off, but in any case I did just terminate the return(smaller line) on the fram rail, I was going to remove it all the way back but figured then i would have to redo the other line because the clamp would only have 1 line instead of 2, and the single like would be loose and vibrate and rub a hole. I also plugged the line so that no dirt or debries would get into it if I ever wanted to reuse it.
