Can someone tell me what was the stock diameter of the lower radiator hose on a 1968 427BB 390hp

Reason I ask, I bought a waterpump and installed it then found out when I went to install the radiator hose that it wont fit. the hose is 1-3/4 and the pump is 2". Where did I go wrong?

A little dab of wheel brng grease should get the hose slid onto the pump. You're only talking about a 1/4" difference here, and a rubber hose will stretch that much easily. It should be a snug fit, anyway, and not just slide on with no interferance. Lube it up and then try it, it should fit OK.
