So I put 600+ miles on the car and the gremlins started to appear. I have a crate motor in the car now, 325hp, 360 tq. Usually runs at 200 degrees. Today it ran at 210-215. I was at higher altitude most of the day, above 4000' as opposed to the norm of 500-1000. Those temp readings are off the original gauge. I don't think the temp change is a big deal but it seemed weird to occur all of the sudden. I did have it on a 1000 mile trip to Ebos and a 2400 mile trip to Maine without incident.

It was cold air today right? Maybe the hill climb just warmed the tranny more.......all fluids are up right?

Good point, lots of hard tranny use with the ride. Very curvy road with spirited driving.
