Well The short of the story is driving to Chips show last weekend I REALLY noticed that I had no heat..I never thought I would ever complain about that in this car but..with the top down at 35 degrees or so..well..so I figured that I just didn't have a thermostat because coolant ran thru the rad when it was cold..I got a new thermostat and gasket and figured its a 15 minute job no problem honey I will be done in no time..well that just didn't happen..one bolt came out easy and the long one broke off..I was using my cheap home tools and not the good stuff from work so I didn't have anything huge on it..so it turned out after a little drill work and heli coil set from the magic bus I got it back together..the cool thing is that I did have a thermostat and check out what is stamped on it ..delcostat..195 on the bottom..how old do you all think this thing is..it was completely stuck open but i think it's really "cool" to see a GM part with no hecho en mexico on it..

Rich, snow is not even close here yet. In the 4 years I have owned the 74 I have driven it to the Christmas eve church service twice and I dont drive it after the first flake hits the ground. So you see we have a great chance to drive them until the end of the year!!
