Do I need for a TPI setup on my Vette?? One before the pump and one after the pump?

Most all of the info that I have been researching indicate only one filter, before the pump.

OEM tune port cars have a pick up sock in the tank, and the pump is in the tank. There is one filter after the pump. With an aftermarket system this could vary. Keep in mind, electric fuel pumps do not pull vacuum very well. Pulling fuel through a filter may cause enough restriction that you could starve for fuel when the filter is starting to clog. Of course, at that point the filter should be changed anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point.
In either setup, keep the distance from the tank to the pump at the least distance as possible. A pump at the front of the car may not pull fuel from the tank. Back next to the tank, the same pump will operate quite well.

Do we have a sock in the tank also? If so, then I'll just run one
filter between the pump and the regulator. What would be a good
aftermarket pump? I'm looking at MSD and Mallory currently.
