I am replacing my old Headman Headers 15yrs old with a new set Of Hooker SuperComp. My LT1 motor is a stroker 383 with Dart Alum Heads . Will I need to retune at all or dyno the car after the change? Exhaust tubes going to 13/4 dia from 15/8 on old set, these are long tube I don't know what the old ones are. New headers are ceramic coated

Good choice in headers. I have them on my 406 SBC - pretty awesome!

Are you racing the car? I don't know that dyne tuning for a header change is necessary, unless you're really trying to determine the net difference. It could actually go down a little if the velocity of exhaust gases slows down due to the increased exhaust volume. However with a 383 with good compression, you'll probably see some incremental gains.

I would just adjust carb settings to get good plug readings and drive it!

Good luck!

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. This is my winter project, along with a few other jobs.
