Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior.
Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
Inside the open area that houses the wipers, look deep into the recess in the area of the hood latch, you'll see a round plastic plug. Pop out the plug, and you'll have access with a long screwdriver to jimmy the latch open. Good luck.

Actually, the tip of the cable where it hooks on the latch is broken off. The cable now hangs outside the car. Its still attached to the drivers side but not the passenger side. HELP.

you should be able to lift the hood up on the driver side enough to familiarize yourself with how the latch works. use that to help you locate where you need to activate the other latch. good luck.
great looking car. I have a 79 L82 also. is that the original dark blue color? have you done any mods?

I'm going out to try some more on the latch. I just got it back from getting painted. It was orignaly light powder blue but I think thats about the worst color on a vett so its now Indgo blue met. the same color GM used on 97-2002 trucks. and it looks much better then in the pic. Thanks
