My LT-1 had a Holley R6931B 4-barrel carb on it, before I started restoring it. Anybody know anything about this carb? What engine, car manufacturer, etc???
Thanks

Thanks

Don't know yet, but your LT-1 should have either a R4489A-3972123 or a R4555A-3972121

I replaced the R6931B with a R4555A which improved the performance - only to find out it was a CA car, and needed a R4489A. Got the last one on order. Just trying to figure out what to do with the R6931B.

does it look like your LT-1 carb, devorse choke, vac. sec., might be LT-1-302 Z-28 Camaro, any real perf. auto parts can tell you by the #'s out of the Holley cat., keep it for parts.

Well I don't show a R6931B in my Holley Carb List book. Only a 6931A. it says its for a 1975 G.M.T.C. 427 engine. California.
Vehicle Mft Part No 717724

On my 72 LT1 the original carb is part# 65-6239, a 780 cfm Holley. I got tired on visiting the gas stations and downsized it to a Holley 650cfm part #4777C which runs great

After Shark,
What's "G.M.T.C."?? You say a 427 - could it be a Camaro, as ANIPS said earlier?

I really don't know what GMTC stands for. Book was written many years ago and there is nothing in the book that tells. Sorry, but I don't think it would be a camaro. To my knowledge a 427 was never offered in that body.

After Shark,
Any more details on the R6931B? Double feed? Double pumper? 750CFM? 780CFM? 850CFM? Any additional info will help when I decide what to do with it.
Thanks,
