I tried to install this guy over the weekend. Found that the fuel inlet was 4" too far right to make a good tubing adjustment, the vacuum inlet for the brakes was a size to small and the last straw was that I would have to scrap the old throttle hold down bracket and buy something from a hot rod supply house.
So I check all the screws on the Q-Jet and installed a new manifold gasket, never would think that a Q-Jet could idle, accelerate and run so good once it was tight.
Should I return the Holley or give it another try.

Stick with the Q-Jet. It'll run better anyway and get more mpg.

return the Holley. they tend to load up at idle anyway.

i hope so... 


last rally i measured it...
between 8 to 9 mpg...





( Holley 600 cfm , double pumper....
)

could be the traction problems....

I hope you returned the Holley. Your Q-Jet will handle the current gas mixture at the pumps better.

yes Bob, 350/350 as far i know , bought it that way... sure is a SB , with what i can see : Weiand manifold and the Holley....never was on a dyno , to give a idea : i keep up with my brothers Porsche turbo 930 ( '82 -300 HP ) till i have to go to 4the gear... then i'm loosing quick ...
