Does anybody know the best way to replace the vacuum controled watervalve inline the heater hoses? Mine leaks by and keeps my interior boiling hot. I got a ball valve closing the line off up stream when I dont need the heater and that temporary fixes the problem.
Thanks guys!

You're lucky if the valve is the only source of your excess heat problem. On our recently acquired '74, the ball valve had no noticeable effect. Other postings here pointed out much harder to cure, common problems with internal sealing up and under the dash in the heater box - with engine compartment heat coming directly into cab.
