I am looking for the thread regarding where I can purchase the 5/8" and 3/4" heater hose shut-offs to isolate the heater core in the summer months. I remember seeing it last year, but cannot pull it up in the search engine. Can anyone help? I remember reading about some small ones that were very unobtrusive.

Go to your local NAPA store. That's where I got mine.

I got mine from Autoparts Giant. I just looked through my e-mail for the part number but I can not find them. Just look through their site and you will find them.

Advance Discount Auto also has them. I would recommend getting one that has a screw in shut off type. I had a swing ball type before that started to leak by. The screw in type provide tight shutoff.

Were you able to find the shutoffs? I tried earlier this spring with my local NAPA dealer and never did get the set. But, the guy who put the new intake on for me also did the heater hoses and (low and behold) the vacuum valve was frozen open! He replaced it and it has been a cool ride all summer long!
