Just working along until spring I noticed that the two hoses connecting the heater to the engine are reversed. what,if any effect would this have ?? anyone have  advice on if they should be rerouted correctly or if they can remain the way they are.

It seems the expansion tank would only recieve coulant after it has passed through the heater core the way its connected now.

Thanks in advance for any insite you may have. Runamuck

The heater core should fill from the bottom.  With coolant coming in from the bottom, the air is forced out the top, and the heater core stays full. When the lines are reversed the air is not purged out of the heater core, and the heater does not work as well.  As long as it does flow through, it won't hurt anything else.

If you do get lucky enought to get all of the air out of the core, the heater will work fine.

Bob

If you want to maximize the season here in Nova Scotia a heater is a must!!!! We can extend the Vette season by as much as 3 months per year if mother nature cooperates.
