Vette(s): 1975 convertible, with the hard top and power streering.it a 350 L48 with auto trans. the color is light blue.
Took out the vette today and I can smell gas. The gas lines are not leaking and i didn't see any signs of a leak, the only thing I noticed was the rubber line going into the fuel pump was pulsating. Thanks Rick

Sounds like your fuel pump is a good sucker and there is a restriction in the line from the tank.  Or the hose is weak.

Vette(s): 1969 daytona conv. all original 350 350 380 4 sp w/air..and hard top
I get a gas smell in mine too everytime I start it the first time of the day...I put it off since I don't have a choke and dump tons of gas to get it goin...the rubber line you may want to look into replacing since it shouldn't pulsate...might be getting thin.

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
It may be your carb as well.   I had a holley carb on my car which ran rich so every time I started the car I would smell gas. I checked all my lines and fuel pump and there was no leak.

I replaced my carb with my original rochester after I rebuilt it.  No more smell.

perhaps you should have your carb rebuilt ?
