Fuel gauge

I have an 1982 vette and the fuel gauge does not read correctly, it also does not go below 1/2 tank very far.

I just read an article about the bladder a C4 bluging and interfereing with the fuel sending unit.

Can a similar problem happen on a C3??

The same thing happened to my 82. Had to drop the tank to get sending unit out because the bladder was pushed out so far. Bent the float arm so it would clear and it works again but is not as accurate. Better than nothing.
