What the proper torque for the exhaust manifold flange nuts on a 78 w/350?

Bytor, the Shop Manual states 20 lb-ft.
I've come across statements elsewhere that the outers should be tightened to 30 lb-ft., with the inners at 20...but the Manual doesn't list that.

Is he talking about the 3 nuts that attach the exhaust pipes to the manifolds? I'd just concentrate on tightening them evenly, no tighter than 30lbs. I wouldn't even worry about torque. Mike
