I dont care for the small turn down tips on my '77. I was wondering if anyone has tried something like the rectangular LT-1 style? I've also considered dumping the exhaust out in front of the rear wheel like the cobra R. What do you think?

I once read an article which made a couple of points to consider when doing this. (1)you are transplanting the noise directly below the side windows. This may be an issue when you are trying to have a conversation or hear the stereo. (2) You are displacing more heat/exhaust around the interior part of the car. I know this may not matter when your moving at a certain speed but when your cruising or stopped it may be an issue. I may be out in left field and wasting your time having you read these points. I am sure you are probably looking for comments related to actual appearance, function and method of installation, etc. But it is my take on the subject. I will try to find this article and if I do I will get back to you.

If you really want the pipes to exit in front of the rear tires, just put on a set of sidepipes. They'll look better too. |thumb|
