Hi There!
Thinking about redoing my 81 exhaust. It was converted to duals but has OS Sensor and air pump line connected.
Will removing OS and AP line miss the computer? I know the "check engine light"may come on, but other than that are there other considerations?
Thanks,Frank

If your have the computer controlled "feedback" Rochester Q-jet carb, you are going to have to change it to an earlier carb. It's not going to run right. The O2 sensor tells the computer to richen or lean out the carb. Also change out the computer controlled distributor to a earlier one with vacuum/centrifugal advance. Then you can remove the computer wire harness from the engine. Its seperate from oil press, temp sensor, etc. I would leave the existing harness in the car. It looks like a pain to undo it on the inside of the car. Then yank out the Service Engine bulb.
