yeah...your screen name should have given that away, eh? 
It will go in there, but just don't expect it to slide right in. You will have to twist/turn/tilt it every which way....and then realize it's backwards or something...

Does your car have exhaust on it now, or will you have it all off before putting the bracket on? That will definitely make a difference.
