When you take off the fuel lines from the pump make sure you plug the ones coming from the tank or you will have lake octane under the car.  Don't ask how I know.Ermm

The pushrod from the cam might give you a little grief. You have to keep it up so that the fuel pump lever goes under. If the cam lobe is on its high spot it's a little more difficult. I made a special tool using a bent feeler blade, but there is a bolt hole in the front of the block that goes all the way through and after removing that bolt you can use a longer one to retain the rod, and lastly, some people use a dab of heavy grease to hold the rod and if the area is clean enough this actually works sometimes. The difficulty is of course magnified if you have A/C. But it's very do-able.

The best way to get at the pump is to take off the right front wheel ,and go at the pump straight on,or from underneath,it beats bendin over that fenderfor an hourThumbs Up

Ended up working late Friday, Rick, so once again I was a no-show. Sorry to hear of your problem, hope you get it fixed soon. Mine's been covered so long I forget what it looks like! Won't be on chat tomorrow, goin' to the Oriole game! Talk to you soon.
