has any one installed a chambered exhaust system on a 1978

if so how is it?

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
not on a 78 but got them on my 70 lt-1 and I love them. loud and cool just like a vette should be.  just my .02

see when it comes to exhaust...we need soundclips.  I've thought of chambered exhaust too.  wanna know how it sounds on a vette first, particularly a 70.

well these are some sound clips for various V-8s but no chevy small blocks. I does give you an idea of how loud they sound though. I would say the charger had the closest sound to my vette in those samples. Classic chambered

sound clips are scratchy as hell. I might rethink the sidepipes idea, I'm not sure...they look cool as hell.  however, my favorite exhaust sound is...go to www.borla.com, click on "hear it now", and select V8 muscle.  ooohhh beautiful!

another source of mufflers for sidepipes is this company, Spiral sidepipes they might have what your looking for also. here is a few clips of a guys vette with them audio rev another burn out

who was it that told me hooker had some new mufflers for sidepipes...?   does anyone have a sound clip of that maybe?

 

oh yes, and those spiral mufflers sound pretty good during that rev.
