Hey Guys, supprising enough my wife wasn't  to upset about the CC, she loves the sound, it is nice. She did ask me why I didn't put that money toward new leather seats or my performance cam and lifter. I never gave that a thought, I must be NUTS.Confused Gene

Gene,
Apparently, your state doesn't inspect for cats on older cars.
Did you have to do anything with the O2 sensor or the other "stuff"?

Nothing to the censors. I had straight pipes ran on both sides to the mufflers. These guys did a good job according to my mechanic (he inspects everything that he doesn't do). The sound is fantastic. Gene

This is the last I will say about the CC. I have heard that you gain 5hp without the CC, I have heard you gain 50hp without the CC. My 77 Vette has more pep on top and bottom ends, and again, the sound with these performanc Monza mufflers is great.

By the way the CC I had removed was 4 yrs old. Gene

I have some of you guys thinking my wife is a complainer but she is really not. After seeing some of your vettes at Pigeon Forge last year she has been trying to get me to have our 77 vette painted. My wife really loved seeing what some of you have done with you vettes. This is her first time having a vette in the family and she loves it.
My wife is beautiful and smart and never complains or argues unless I provoke it, I'm lucky. Gene

My white 79 with just a test pipe in place of the convertor actually sounds as good as my black 79 with headers and dual exhaust.
