Hey guys, before I sell my carb:

What is depicted in these pictures:

http://fattyslims.com/vette/pics/other/carb2.jpg

What is that, and will I need it with my Edlebrock #1406? Will I need to transfer anything over at all?

Thanks guys,
-Louis

Ya... but I sold the carb already to someone on the forums, I jsut don't wnat to go taking it apart. DO I really need it, whats the worst that would happen if I didn't? I mean it was not on the new carb to beginw ith anyway.

I used to buy replacements for the solenoid at NAPA. The bracket will be the tough part. If you have andy wrecking yards with old stuff from the 70s, you may find many GMs will have the bracket and sol.

well, I just took the solinoid off the old Rochester and compared it to the new Edlebrock 1406 600CFM carb
http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/carb_square.html and there is no place to screw on the bracket for the solinoid. What should I do, do I need it then or does this carb not need it? Do I have to mount is tome other way?

Thanks guys,
-Lou.....
