I am looking for help with my carb. The old girl needs to have her holes tightend up. It is a Rochester Quad #17059203.

Does any one know where I can get the primary shaft bushed? A couple of places will do it with a complete rebuild for about $300.00. I can rebuild the carb, I just need the bushings done.

Thanks in advance

Check with AfterShark, he works @ Holley. He probably has a line on these things.

Jim McGowan is the guys name. Met him at C3X last year. Seemed like decent guy. Knew his stuff about Qjets. Call him and ask what he charges to bushing the throttle shafts.

Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!  Both sites have good info. This site has instructions for doing the job and sells the bushing kits. I am going to call both and will let everyone know.

An Update

I called Jim at the QUAD SHOP http://thequadshop.net/  He told me it would cost $95.00 to install bushings and set up the base plate plus $15.00 return shipping. I sent it out. Jim called me 3 days later and said it was done and back in the mail. He also said he took care of one of the idle jets that was bad. I got it 3 day later. It looks like a brand new plate and the shaft is not sloppy any more. He said he also does complete rebuilds. The carb is back together and back on the car. I plan on bringing her back to life this weekend.

Thanks again for the info.
