All,

I have a quick question I bought a new Q-Jet and the adjustment on the side of the carb for rich and lean has a valve coming off of it that conect to a metal line the new carb has the valve turned the other way can someone tell me what these lines are for they go right down into the manifold and are located next to the EGR.  How can I make this work?

Not sure what you are talking about.  Can you post a picture?  Then I can help.

I think you are talking about the black round section on the passenger side of the carb.  This is the choke tension adjustment, and the tube going to the intake are the heater tube to bring hot air up to the choke to warm it up.
