ditto.. the most common complaint I hear is ... "I did "X" and it didnt help" or sometimes "made it worse"
and everytime I tell people that an engine is a closed "system", very few things will help without changing something else.
Im a firm believer in tearing an engine down and rebuilding it for the its new purpose. I posted some desktop dyno info a while back. anyone who is looking to tune your car for performance should look at it.
I ran my engine with 4 or 5 different cams and it was night and day.
had i changed the headers from large tube to small tube..
the results would have been different. a cam that produces tons of torque with large tube headers might be the wimpiest with small tubes.
engine design is a science. performance engine design is an art.
by the way... if anyone wants two nearly new midas mufflers.. Ill ship them to you at cost. they have 470 miles on them. I really dont know what mufflers cost.. they may not be worth the cost of shipping.

the headers will reduce your low end. with that enging you should use 1 1/2 in headers or just duel exhaust. headers won't do much good untill you start running over 3500 rmp. on the street run the manifolds unless you can get a cam and heads to put the headers to use
