Carb question
Can someone tell me what happened. Yesterday, I started my '71. It started fine, choke on. It ran for a minute or two, and I shut it off. I turned it back on about a minute later. When it cranked, it let out a very loud backfire (I think it was exhaust). My wife even came out of the house to see what had happened. Then the car wouldn't start till I primed the carb. It started fine and ran fine the whole day. Any ideas?

The EPA called, they want to know what you are doing about the raw gasoline that you can't account for.......
Sweet picture, I always loved that color combination. Black top too?

Rick,
If you are asking me, the answer is yes. Both the soft and hard tops are black. The car now has an L88 hood on it that the paint shop matched near perfectly.

Actually I was referring to dlrshort, I keep clicking on the wrong reply icons, my apologies.
Sidepipes and rims make a great combination on yours though, its tough to pull off aftermarket rims on a C3 but those are some of the best I've seen.

Thanks much. They are Cragar wheels. You can't really see it in the pic but they have fake three prong knock-offs which kinda gives them a retro look.
