Hey there Vette Fans!!
Looking for a recommendation for an aluminum radiator for my 79. Seen them for $500 to $1000 in Mid-America and elsewhere. I've heard they can be found much more reasonably priced. Anyone know of a reputable dealer that has been used with satisfying results in the product and the wallet?
Thanks as usual.

I used a Griffin two tube radiator from Summit,a 19 x 31 I believe with GM inlet and outlet. Had to slightly modify the brackets and spice two lower hoses to get the right angle. The Griffin was just $175.

DeWitts gets my vote. Before Tom sold me a radiator and fan combo he spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me over several days helping me diagnose the problem. He first suspected a bad core and was right. When I pulled the old radiator and removed the AC I found the corrosion just as Tom explained. Good guy, give him a call.

I recently purchased a DeWitts myself. As of right now, all I can say is that it looks great especially with the dual electric fans. Once I get the new motor in I'll be able to comment on how well it works. Tom was very nice and easy to deal with and my order came quick with no problems.

Just purchased one from ecklers for 378.00. If it looks as good as the one in the pic this would be the way to go.

I bought a Dewitt last summer and I believe I made a good choice. The A69 was said to be a "direct fit" for my 71 454, and it was almost a direct fit. The upper connector does not have the same bend radius than the original. Needed to play with the hose. Beside that it is a good piece of work and it works well.

I went with Dewitts, 454 w/AC on, temp stayed at 200 degrees.
Tom was excellent to deal with.

I bought a DeWitts direct fit for my 70 about 2 years ago. That radiator has never allowed my car to go over 200 degrees. On the road I am 180 rock solid. I would highly recommend Tom DeWitts radiator to anyone. For me it was a direct drop in fit. No mixing or matching radiator hoses to get something to work. The radiator looks like a stock radiator but mine has a Spal fan installed on it. Great product IMO.

Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
I will add my vote for Dewitts. I purchased my complete set up from him since the guy before hacked everything up. Plus Tom was excellant to work with and very helpful when I was trying to determine what I needed to replace.
