Adding Factory A/C to a Non-A/C Vette

ezobens, i have a couple you might be interested in, both 68's. One is blue, 327, auto, no air, you might not want that one as much, but it would be less than 15k and it's definitely a nice car. The other 68 is a red convertible with a white rag top, 300hp 327, 4 speed manual, and factory air conditioning. It has side pipes and is a very nice looking car. It will be a little more than 15k but it seems to have everything you said you were looking for, and it's a convertible. let me know if you're interested. I can send some pics too. Thanks.

Too bad I didn't know about the 68's last week- I'd still like to see some pics of the convert, just for curiosity.

I just purchased a 69' Coupe, red (of course) with the
L-46/4-speed (now a ZZ3 crate motor) manual steering/brakes and no A/C. The good news is that it was 20 minutes from my house and that I bought it from the 3rd owner with only 75K miles! The only down side (not really down, just not quite what I had in mind) is that it is a non-A/C car.
But from what everyone had stated so far, it's very do-able and just takes time and some $$. I will drive it for the summer and see how badly I really miss the A/C.

Just wait 'til that hot, muggy day in July or August and it's raining and you have to have the windows up. You'll think you're in a sauna, at least I did. After one summer, I found a wrecked '73 and transplanted the A/C to mine. Enjoy your car. Sounds like you found a good one.
