Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks. #2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
I have a '69 and my AC Relay was under the dash, so that was not so fun, but interesting. Looked like a box with 3-4 prongs to hook up to the electrical wires.

Hello, any '72's out there???

What kind of problem are you having? Does the blower (fan) not blow on "high", or does the A/C compressor not "kick in"?
There are different relays for each of these components.

The high blower relay is under the hood, on the side of the evaporator core "box", but the compressor relay(if so equipped) would be behind the dash Adams' Apple38625.818287037

Found IT.  It was a check valve.  The first one. It was cloged.  A $ 10.00 part from Mid America and a couble of small hose clamps replaced.  Lights and AC, heater, defrost now works. I was trying to make it more difficult.  Thanks ZZZS

This is the problem I'm having.... when I have the ignition turned but not started air is coming for the ducts but I don't have the ac/heater switch on.  It sounds like grumbling coming from the right hand dash and the compressor area with the hood rasied.  I thought maybe the switch or relay maybe bad?????

The blower running at low speed is normal on A/C cars. It is part of the ventilation system. If it's making a noise, there is a problem with the blower motor itself. You may need a new blower mtr., or it may have some junk(leaves, etc.) in it that is causing the noise.

If it's making noise it's probably the blower motor , if the noise changes or goes away when you increase the fan speed..the motor is probably bad. I've changed lots of blower motors in 70's GM vehicles. They have a little cooling tube that isn't enough so they heat up & the bearings go bad. You can change it from the engine compartment...it's a fairly simple job. You could also have so leaves etc caught in the squirrl cage...it happens over time

Good Luck,

Alan
