Hey guys... I just re-router my vacuum lines for the A?C and heater from Doc Reubild. MY dad also repaired the switches (what a genous)... but I noticed that when I switch the lever to cold the shut off valve pushes the trigger back out pushing the lever back into the neutral zone instead of cool. I was wondering if anyone know if the car had to be on and the  A/C running for the valve to fully turn off rather than just bite back at me..

Thanks guys,

-Louis

The cable is out of adjustment. Behind the right side console panel look for the cable. You will see a connection that is your adjustment by turning it you should be able to move the lever over to the cold position

Hey Louis, Kiltime is right about the cable with the adjustment. My story is I have replaced seven (7) A/C panel controls (Eckler's) since February. I have found that the cable is to short and it will not adjust properly and the heat switch stays open therefore letting heat blend into the a/c. All these A/C panels are being outsoursed and are coming from China according to Eckler's. Eckler's says they are refunding $300.00 and a gift certificate of $100.00 for all the labor charges I have incurred, thats helps. I thinks we finally have mine set right. Gene
