Small block or big block?
Small blocks run to full(manifold) vacuum at the carb base.
Big blocks tee off of the PCV hose, which is still manifold vac. Adams' Apple2008-07-29 05:08:06

This is a small block but appears to be plumbed like a big block

Little more info on this item. This car had every incorrect part in the feul system. I installed correct fuel pump with vapor return line, new canister. I also installedd a Pertronix electronic ignition, Edelbrock carb/manifold. The car ran fine to a local car cruise. After about 3 hours of sitting, fired it up to go home. Also filled up with gas on the way. Out of the blue when coming to idle the engine just stalled, restarted but would not idle. This is a 4speed car. Got curious about vap system plumbing. Disconnect PCV and plugged and it would idle somewhat. I thinking the problem is the purging of the canister with manifold vacuum. Any suggection are welcomed.
