I called Ecklers to beg for their version of the gas tank neck gasket but no luck. I also tried Paddock, Corvette Specialties and Riks Corvette parts with no luck. Looks like I will have to use the top part of my old bladder or try buying a cork gasket and make one on my own ... I will see how that goes.

I will pass on sealing the inside of the new tank since everyone here seems to think that it's a bad idea. I appreciate the good advice. Everyone here has been super! Hug

New question... Florida is going to have all gas stations putting 10% ethanol
in all the gas. The article stated that it would only be a "problem" with cars older than 1980-classic cars. What is the solution? What problems will it cause and how can I avoid them? I've heard that all the gaskets disintegrate and I guess can get sucked up into the carb.  Please explain and offer a solution. Help!

Minnesota has required 10% ethanol for years.  We don't notice a problem.  Carburetor needle valves don't last as long, but that just means nine years instead of ten.  As you have any components serviced, make sure they use newer compounds that are more alcohol resistant, but don't rush to change something.

Phew! Thanks Larry. I didn't really want to spend any more money right now on my toy.
