Anybody have a idea what this car will go for or true value? I can't seem to find where one has been sold lately.

Well...don't see any info on it...but, the ZR2 was the big-block version of the ZR1, with only 12 of them built, I believe. I'd have to look...
The ZR2 was the LS6, 425hp monster, only available in '71. They had M22 trannys, HD suspension stuff, and the killer brakes. Pretty rare animal. Not knowing what kind of shape the thing is in, it would be hard to value it, but, just the fact that it is a ZR2, IF in fact it IS a REAL one, I'd have to guess over $125,000.

Thanks Joel,
You are right it is the LS6 engine with all the other good stuff that basically made it a factory racer. This is a documented car and 1 of 8 coupes built out of a 12 car total as you said. I can't find where one has sold and was wondering if anyone else had a clue. My guess was 250...............?. Anyway I guess I'll see as I would like to add it to my collection. I hope you are right and it does stay below my starting guess of 250. Guess it will depend on how many people there want it. Thanks again, David

I heared of one that sold at Mecham about 4 years. ZR2 with 10 original miles on the clock. Pristine car. Went to some museum monkey in Washington state for 300k+. Shame the darn car will not be drive and probably not even be showed.
Also B-J is going to auction the 63 Corvette Rondine concept car. One of a kind car. Spent its whole life in Italy. This car should bring in some major change. I wonder if Mike Yeager knows about it. He's really big on the Corvette concept cars.

Jim, You can bet if it's available Mike knows about it. Maybe he could trade the" Corvette Summer" car for it?

The 71 ZR2 although rarer than the 68-69 L88 always gets outshined and outpriced by it.Considering it is at BJ it could break 300k.

Thanks jr9170, I was wondering if that might be the case. Just because it is rare it's not as well known as a L88 which has always been known as the Vette to own. I like rare or one of type cars by strange color combos of the 60's and 70's. With this car being at BJ like you said it will probably bring more with all their hype. Thanks for confirming a thought that had crossed my mind as well.
Thanks David

It went for $325,000................The winner was Kevin McKay (L-88 Guru) who beat out the owner of Pro Team Corvettes.
