I love the year correct plates on my vettes, I always have people coming up and asking about them. New York makes it pretty easy to do.  Over the years I have collected old plates so I had a few sets to pick from. One set had the letters DMF I figured it was best to leave them hangin in the garage Evil%20Smile ebo2008-11-03 10:12:58
Hey Dwain.  Man those do look greatThumbs%20UpCool.  Mine is a '72 and Bryar Blue in color.  After my brother Phil got his vette with the Texas '69 plates I decided to see what was available from '72.  Turns out they are white background with ugly GREEN colored letters/numbers on themDead.  I figured they would look terrible on my beautiful Bryar BLUE car!!

Oh well I ended up with those aweful looking Antique plates on it.  Don't look that great but I feel better than the green ones.
Just my personal opinion, Roger, I don't think the green lettered plates would look bad at all on your blue Vette. If you think about it, in 1972
that's what plates were on your car, right?! And.... here's a set from the same seller, like mine, mint, unissued and you could probably get them at a good price...I did! Can't get more original than those plates.

If you do bid on these, wait till about 15 seconds before the end of the auction and put in whatever you are willing to pay. I wuz gittin' mine, so I bid like $200 to top anybody, and got them for $46.01... SCORE!

Vette(s): 71 Colonnade Hardtop Coupe Torch Red with black interior originally L48 built to push around 360hp

I also have a 71 dated plate. Found mine in an antique shop. Here in Michigan you can pay $35.00 for life registration. BPT. Nuttin yet. Let me ponder.

Yep, Micki, it's legal. Here it is in a nutshell, with a correction. There is an additional $15 per year charge on your registration, mere chicken feed for us rich Vette owners. ErmmLOL  Umm, now that I think of it, chicken feed ain't cheap no more, but the eggs sure be gud.
Anyway, my plates will be on by the end of the week! Thumbs%20Up   Here's a good set for you Micki... Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing ( wonder what that could stand for?) Put some originality on da Poop- on.

I bought my '74 plates at the Pate Swap meet way back in '98...paid $40. I see plates all the time when Mama & I are out junkin. Some are in perfect condition, some are crap...and some, the people think they're worth waaaaay more than they really are!
I'll prolly get mine certified one of the days, and put them on...
