I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.  And I haven't been quite as noisy lately, but these guys have a long way to go to catch up.  Give it your  best guys.  Keep making noise!

hallo hallo guys ,
back in town ! meetings.... Joel , i'm no concurrent hey , let THEM stirre you up , for me it's new and like to chat with you guys  in the US.And yes , i'm perhaps  a litlle bit US minded :  i have  a Harley Fat Boy 92   and of course the VETTE  !For my knowlegde of cars , ok ,i have some experience :my father was a car-mechanic so it was learned very early. As a student i worked  for 10 years during holidays in a garage and as engineer we have tho make a end-work ? ( don't know how you call it ) so during that year we ( a group of 3 ) "developed" and made a formula car. One friend out of the 3 got a job in United Kingdom and is still working on racing cars , most of the time at Le Mans testing...I got young married and children so opted for security and building heat exchangers , air batteries and pressure vessels for petrochemical plants.Witch i do still after 25 years , now with my own company .I also was racing rallys for 5 years with BMW but hade to stop that because of expenses ....   I read also a lot , almost any book now i can find on vettes.Meanwhile i have" some" books and my woman declares my crazy.... the first one i bought was the black book and see indeed that many US people ask about the car's VIN code...But i was surprised to see how much live there is in the US about C3's and engines SB and BB,
I'm glad i picked a legend ! that car remains in the family , for my grandchild(ren )!
By the way ,there was a site "corvette archive" ,but i don't find it anymore.Anybody knows more ?
So you see me more over here,to  ,,,,, and even

nice to be with you all ! love you !

Quite a background Norbert.  The racing had to be fun.  But the Corvette will be a lot of fun as well.

I also started working with my Dad.  4th grade found me holding the flashlight and handing wrenches when my Dad did side jobs in the driveway.  At 14 I was working with Dad in a service station.  The manager said I was the second best mechanic he had ever had.  The best was my Dad.  I fixed them until I started teaching others to fix them, which is what I do now.

Glad to have you.

Vette(s): 1968 427 producing 550 hp at rear wheels. Color is Black. This car didn't have a place for a spare tire, or didn't come with an emergency break. The car only has 44,237 origonal miles. License is TERMN8R

Norbert, it's good to have an international flavor on the site.  I have been to your beautiful country, I raced my BSA at Coo, Spa, & Nuremburg Rink.  I was stationed in Spangdahlem Germany for 3 years, & saw all of Europe I could.  I am hoping to find some time & go back over there to visit some friends, I will bring my Vette this time.  We sponcered a exchange student last year from Austria.  She was such a joy to have here.  I am now her crazy American Uncle.  If this ever happens, Maybe we could meet somewhere & compare Vettes.  Mine is a 1968 that was raced over in Europe, just not too sure where yet, I am working on finding out where & who drove it.

Bob

Bob if you ever do find the history on your car, you HAVE to share.  I would love to hear that story.
