How many of you bare the pain of doing most of the work on your car? And how many suffer the pain of paying and praying for others to do the job? I'm curious. Either way........it's painful!

I do all my own except engine machine work. It sure takes a long time, but I can't blame anyone else for quality.

[/QUOTE] Time doesn't matter if you are seeking perfection and trying to satisfy your biggest critic...............which is youself. Getting someone else do do the work can leave you disatisified in two ways; cost and quality. I realize that some people charish their car, but don't have the tools, time, or knowledge.

Almost everything but paint I do with the help of 71Shark. After all, what are friends for?
Remember, in the '70's it was a friend with weed is a friend indeed, now it's a friend with a lift is a very special gift!

Always do my own work, even though new at corvettes, personnal satisfaction of successful troubleshooting is the payoff with any machine, not to mention lessons learned that can be passed on. PS Larry and Joel, dead short problem solved & repaired, thanks for the help

I take care of my 73 on my own unless it is something that takes equipment I don't have like wheel alignments. Then I take it to people that know what they are doing.
