Binnie's ramps are on my to-do list. Binnie's articles and projects seem to indicate a depth of knowledge. That, along with the fact that the ramps look well-constructed, led me to decide I want a pair to use for either of my cars to give me that extra room without jacking them up.

Steve, interesting set up you showed and I like the removal section to have more room. Can you provide material info, how long bottom piece and what size material used? How much does this raise you car, appears 5 boards high so figuring about 8"?

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
If you are only going to ramp either end of the car up a foot or so just purchase some steel wheel ramps from a parts house.
If you want the whole car up a foot or so then you have to build some type of device to do that as I do not know of any commercially manufactured. If they were I would bet they would be costly also.
The only reason I have not done this myself is Storing them someplace is an issue for me as I do not have a garage but only a carport and it is a single car carport at that. Wood can get heave real quick if you overbuild it.
What I like about getting the complete car off of the ground is it would be nice when you detail it.
