Ok, it's time for a post from me with some substance. No competing with Darla, Rick or Glen on this post ( sure ). Does anyone know FOR SURE of a national chain store that stocks 15 inch wiper blades that will fir my C3? Every place I have gone so far has nothing but even number sizes and I just don't have the time to run all over the place.
Any good leads will be appeciated. If I can find one, I will post why I need it ( yes Adam, just to get another post ! ). |smile|

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
I've found them at NAPA, Checkers, and Champion auto stores. Don't know if all those chains are in your area (I'd think that NAPA should be) but those are the ones I frequent here in Minnesota.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
Hey Glenn
Don't you ever go to Wal-Mart? They have regular sizes plus cut to fit sizes. I'm sure they would have something to fit it. The guy I bought my vette from, told me that the wiper blades were never changed in the 14 years he owned it, and they are still on it now. Of course, if it doesn't get out in the rain, you don't need wipers. If I ever need them, they probably will fall apart..

Glenn, ANCO and Trico both make replacement blades. I believe that they were used by GM during the C3 years. I bought a set of ANCO's for my 74 at the local Walkmart. They look and fit just perfect.

Ok Guys ( and gals ) thanks for the info. The only thing mentioned around here is the NAPA stores. We are just tooo unsofisticated to have a nearby Walmart. I also stumbled across them in PEP Boys over the weekend. Anyhow, now I have to make good on my promise. I read somewhere that it is a common problem for the wipers on a C3 to get stuck together on the down cycle ( when they are moving toward the center of the window ). Anyhow the article went on the state that the EASIEST fix for this is to replace the drivers wiper with a 15 inch replacement blade or a whole new 15 inch arm ( forget which ). So I just wnated to give it a try. My wipers worked fine for the past two years but all of a sudden they seem to like to get together ( so to speak ).

I purchased a set of NOS blades for my '70 from a fellow NCRS member. Found the AD in driveline. |bouncy| They're for judging only though. |headscratch| I got my everyday ones from Pep Boys. ~Juliet

Thanks for the info on where to get wipers. One more thing that I just jotted down on my list for her after paint. Gotta do something on her, just not touch the paint. Also, what size does my car have? Same size as you guys? Thanks!

Hey Dar, I had to read your post three times to make sure of what I was reading. Yes, yours are probably the same size as ours |devil| I didnt understand at first that you were talking about wiper blades. Yes, I my mind was in the gutter. SORRY. GM used several different sizes through the years. It is really easy to figure out, just use a ruler to measure the length (of the wiper blade). |laugh|
