Pulled from the swamps of Miami!
Its a driver and back on the road!
Ok dumb question #444
I got the windshield water bottle reinstalled and the pump under it is attached and was tested prior to install. Now it is not working or no water is getting to the windshield.
Question the windshield washerpump/motore as it is called against the firewall, I thought this was just the motor to run the wipers but I see it is called pump/motor.
Is it part of the pump along with the tiny pump under the fluid bottle and could this be a cause of the water not getting to the windshield. I am not at the garage to look but I'm thinking the pump under the fluid bottle is all you have to have working to have the water reach the windshield.True or false????
Again any help is wanted.
after this I will just drive the car and enjoy the nice weather, and worry about the washer bottle later, not needed and will never use just trying to get it back into working order after it came out of the swamps of Florida.
Thanks BB78

Your car should NOT have the pump on the wiper motor...just the small electric pump on the bottom of the reservoir. Can you hear the pump pumping when you turn the washer on? If it is running, but no water is getting to the wipers, you'll need to check/clean all of the hoses from the pump to the wiper arms. It's also possible that the tiny sprayer holes are stopped up with funk...not hard to do, since they are so small.
