Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
well I guess you can say the shark has finally bitten ME!! Although my 1st experience with a vet was a long time ago. An uncle of mine had as 81 and I was hooked. Now mind you that I was about 6 years old then. But I just knew that one day when I grew up I would own one. SO here I am going to turn 30 next May and this 1976 sorta fell into my hands. I took the bait and I was BIT!!! So now I finally own it.
Thanks for letting me share my story with you

To coin a phrase from the movie "Clueless".....I like my wife, but I love my Corvette.
Unless Chevy makes a Corvette SUV...my wife won't be driving one!

Well, earlier I explained how I got bit too. but being on the other side too, Colleen owns it, not me, she only lets me pull it in and out of the garage, ha,ha! once in awhile on the road when she feels like not driving herself. i go for any drives I can .ha,ha!!

Heck I had to get rid of my wife to get my Vette.
It was a good trade thought, the car doesnt yell as much as she did.
And it is ready to run when I want to....
Divorce can be a good thing.

Vette(s): 1970 Monza Red LS5 I love our Vette!!!
New additions....
1971 War Bonnett Yellow coupe (survivor- even the clock works!)
1987 Medium Blue Metallic Z52
I finally got bit a month ago. My hubby has had a vette since he was 17 ( about 20 years). We bought a 1970 LS5, i was bitten before she was ours LOL. I drove her the night we brought her home and was scared to death. Big blocks tend to scare ya... hee hee. And yes I was scared to death to park in the garage! But I did it...3 weeks later, since I had to build up my courage. haha
Now we have 3... picked up 1987 in Michigan friday and 1971 War Bonnet Yellow today ( a survivor believe it or not...even the clock works!!!) details and pics at later date
Enjoyed Chevy Vettefest in Chicago this weekend.
Go for it Ladies!!! You will love it...

Heck, my wife gave me mine for my 45th birthday. She drove up in it that day and hasn't driven it since. She has a 2000 C5, automatic. She says she doesn't like mine, which is fine, as I won't let anyone drive it, but ME.....

Also from "the other side". My husband doesn't want to drive my Vette. He is quite a music lover though and positioning of the speakers is VERY IMPORTANT. We came to small agreement: I don't move his speakers, he doesn't move my car (but this is just a joke between us - one of these days I will get him behind the wheel and then he will be hooked on a different "frequency of KiloWatts").
