Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed
Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.
2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
Can that be right? 889 cars finished in one day? (21035-20146=889)
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I looked at the wrong day for the first #.
Friday, March 15th would have ended with VIN 20,887...I glanced at it, and wrote the final for Friday, the 8th.(20,146)...Thanx for the good catch!!!!

There's a pretty good book out called "The Corvette Birthday Book", by Dennis Moore. He did a lot of research and covers most (maybe all - not sure when the book was published or if it'd been updated). He goes into month-by-month production.

That's exactly what I'm using here. There is some "guessing" involved in some of the data in the "Birthday Book", but for the most part, it is accurate.
Final VIN on Jan. 10th was 13,897
Final VIN on Jan. 11th was 14,050
So...there would have been 153 cars built on the 11th.
Your car would have been the 22nd car produced on the 11th.
Some days there were more cars built, some days less. A lot depended on options installed, and available parts.

btw, ya'll...the "Corvette Birthday Book" is still available. The one I have is several years old, but the info is still pretty much accurate. Mine came from NCRS , but I think some of the 'Vette parts suppliers have it. It's something neat to have in your library.

anything...... I mean, hate to be a mooch, but I'd like to know anything that involves the car... i tried to get as much as I could from the last owner, but she didnt know too much of its history....
