I'm looking to go back to a rally wheel on my 68 and wanted to know:
1, where can I find 4 15x8? (offset?)
2, what size tires can fit on a 15x8?

The easiest way......... most vendors have after market rally wheels. 68 actually came with 15X7 wheels though, kind of rare. On an unmodified body, about the biggest tire you'll be able to get under the car is a 225/70.

yes.. 15x7 on 68..

and 225/70 is one option.. 27.4" diameter

the other is 255/60 .. 27" diameter..

ive successfully used both on bumper C3's

(255/50r17 and 255/45r18) both fit also

Oh no! not at all! I was referring to stock comparisons. I ran 255/60's on a 73 on the rear, but it was flared. It really depends on your setup. Just be a bit careful about the front tires for steering clearance. What exactly are you trying to do?

you should be able to run 255/60 all the way around

255 might be a bit wide on the correct 15x7 rims but are fine on 15x8

Dave, I'm looking to gather data so when the spring comes around I know what to look for, I just purchased this car and it has on it some chorme centerline wheels but I want the original looking rally wheels, as far as the tires, if I buy a set of rally wheels I would like to use the existing tires.

if it understeers you might want to make those front tires 255/60 also
