Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
I have one wheel cap the front driver side that seems to come off every other month. Is there something I can do to keep that puppy on?

Are you talking about the center cap of the Rally wheels or the dust cap that covers the bearing nut?

i find also center caps a bit loose on some of the alloy wheels.I just put a couple of drops of rubber in the hole outer groove and put the caps in it.The day after they where very firm.I even think i will be needed hard to pull to remove them if necessary !
( i used rubber from my boat , used to fill the grooves in the teak deck but i think common silicone will do also the job !)

Don't drive it that month.

I'm with Bruce.....which cap are you having the problem with?
Center cap for the hub itself?
Center cap for the ralley wheel?
Center cap for the alloy wheel?

Look at the contact point of the cap.  You will see it's raised a bit.  You may try using a pair of pliers and tweaking the edge just a bit to tighten it up.  Don't go too far and damage it, or make it impossible to reinstall.

David, are yours the original, metal caps, or the plastic replacements? I can't say I've ever heard of the metal ones coming off. Do your rims have the little "nubs" on them(to hold the caps on)?
You might have a bad cap, but, like Ken says, you may be able to tweak it to get it to stay on.

Yep, mine are very loose as well. I turn them once they are on to find the point at which they are tightest. I'm considering doing the silicone method as well, I think that would work. Tried flaring them out using a 3-jaw chuck on my friend's lathe, was not sucessful.
