Congratulations on your new Vette. She sounds like a beauty and a keeper. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Scott.  Well, I brought her home last Saturday and then proceeded to work almost 65hrs this week at workCry.  I have barely even seen her since she arrived.

The only pictures I have taken so far were at very high resolution and are about 1.2 mb in size.  Need to either figure out how to reduce 'em in size or go take some more.  I am driving my brother to Austin tomorrow to pick up the '69 Corvette he  just bought!!!!!Big%20smile (guess C3's just run in the family now) So I won't have any time tomorrow either but I will post as soon as I get time.

Regards,
Roger

Haines and Chiltons makes some pretty good manuals for general repairs and maintenance. I would also get the year specific information from GM. You can never have enough tech information. If you get in a bind, there are plenty of people on this web site who can explain anything step by step. Most of us have been there and did that. Just make sure you "RTDM" BEFORE you try something new. "Read before you bleed" is a good rule to follow.

Hi Roger. If you want to reduce the size of your pics, I send them to paint. Under stretch and scew knock down to about 17% x 17%. They should be right size then. Hope this helps, TerryM

Well I just received my "reprint" of the 1972 Chevrolet Service manual.  I compared it to the one my brother got with his 1969 C3 which was an "original" and not a reprint.  Man what a difference!!!!!!  On my reprint copy for the 1972 you can barely make out what some of the photos areCry.  Very poor copy I got from Corvette Central.  The pictures in my brother's 1969 "original" are crystal clear.

I think I am going to send this reprint back and get a copy of the original.  Unfortunately I also ordered a reprint of the 1972 Chevrolet Overhaul manual also.  It will probably have the same issue.

Anyone else run into this problem?

I only use the GM SHOP Manual and the GM ASSEMBLY Manual.  Between the two I am REAL DANGEROUS.

I also have the 2 volume GM Engine Control System I picked up on EBAY .... new and real cheap.....know why????....none of it makes any sense unless your a GM TECH.

Stick with the GM factory manuals.
