OK you want to kill the weight of a mid 70's Vette. Where do you start. I have already dealt with the spare tire, A/C, carpet, & am going to manual window cranks. What else ? I'd like to come in around 2900 lbs (yea I know that is a dream).

Talk to me & help me out !!!

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
2900lbs is not a dream, I brought my car from 3590lbs to 3000lbs, AND I ADDED A/C to my car and it's a Big Block! How I did it? I manufactured my own design front and rear bumbers, brackets, the heavy front vacuum piece out of aluminum. I went from vacuum headlight to electric motors, I ditched the vacuum brake booster in favor of Hydraboost. I'm using composite leafsprings front and back. I swapped from auto to manual transmission. I got aluminum heads, water pump, intake, flywheel. I'm using headers, no stereo, light weight wheels. These are just few things I did to bring the weight down. The A/C kit came from Vintage Air, it's very light and the compressor is very small.

Oh yeah, I also fabricated a aluminum radiator frame for the BeCool aluminum radiator I'm using. I'm also using Spal Dual fans... |cheers|
